“Nocturnal Shorebreak started as a dark sister to Mainland but then morphed into her own thing. I suppose I put all of my election anxiety and life stress into some spooky songs. With the LA fires, drones, natural and unnatural disasters things feel like they’re unravelling. This recorded started as a tribute to my hometown which got destroyed by a hurricane and then my home state of California having this happen truly weighs heavy on my heart.
